CD of the Week: The Eyes of Alice Cooper by Alice Cooper

This disc marks a return to origins of sort for the Coop. The album has a more garage band sound to it and I say "Amen, Brother"! Gone are all the metal pop songs and big haired guitarists from the eighties and here are straight laced rock songs from the man that's been pumping 'em out since the sixties. Among my favorites are Novocaine, Detroit City, This House is Haunted and the Elected-esque Man of the Year. I was surprised by this album, because I just thought that maybe Alice has had his turn and was getting a little moldy, but he shook it off and created an original, rocking good album. I wonder if I'll eventually retire before the Coop? Gets **** out of *****.
